The gold-standard of Tandem wheels, Rolf Prima Tandem Disc wheels are

performance tandem wheel systems have fewer spokes than traditional
tandem wheels, they are built with technology that enables us to build
strong and stiff wheels that responds like lightweight wheels built for a
single.
Designed and manufactured in the USA, both hubs are fully CNC machined
and feature oversized axles, increasing the wheel durability and
stiffness without increasing the wheel weight. Optimized flange contours
provide full spoke elbow support, increasing spoke life.
